BTW - I've had better days...

This is my picture of my bead table just today as part of Bead Table Wednesday.
Marsha Neal Studio BTW Feb 23, 2011
My friend Jenny and I text some days to show each other what we're working on…
My description basically said: I'm working on making a mess.

Really, I'm downright frustrated with jewelry making.
I just can't seem to make things.
I have some skill and knowledge…
I have plenty of supplies...
I guess it is more of a focus and follow through with the right ideas.

At least I feel like I had some good ideas of what kind of component pieces I should be working on in the clay studio to better my results on this bead table.

So what is on your bead table? Jump into the fun… and mess!

  1. Oh sweetie! We all have those days. I think that I feel that way even more when the demand to create is high, like right now. I feel pulled in so many directions, and my table (and floor and that area I call a desk) are piled high and a mess. Hopefully you will come through your slump soon! Enjoy the day!

  2. well I feel exactly like that too.pulled between different ideas all the time and not capable of following any of them through in one go. Like for instanse, only a couple of days ago I recieved this AMAZING parcel with beads, components and silk strands from Marsha Neal Studio. And I am in the middle of having to finish some other pieces. I must NOT get carried away and start fondling those new lovelies. Very tough!

I LOOOOOOOOOOVE what you sent me Marsha! Thank you so so much. And I will blog about it too. Any day within a week or so.

  3. Wow it is nice to hear someone else is going through the same things I go through. I stared at my bead soup forever and it was only the thought of total embarrassment at not having anything that made me get off my butt and make a piece. My mind has been blank too. Could be too many choices? I am not sure but I am trying to use up what I have so I'll see if that helps or if it is too much of a challenge.

  4. And while we were texting - I was having a similar day in the clay studio. Tell you what - you go to clay, and I will go to jewelry, and we will make stuff! (Except I have to press tiles, and finish sculpting a siren...) Yesterday simply was one of those days!
    Text me later... ;-)

  5. I read recently somewhere (can't for the life of me remember where) that sometimes when we reach a huge level of frustration, we're just about to break through a plateau and on to something new and amazing. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
